Technos Collection 1 Evercade Review

 Technos Collection 1 Evercade Review

Crash n' the Boys Street Challenge is a confusing collection of five mini-games, all with different controls, that's just hard to play due to how confusing it is. At least it's funny. 6/10

Double Dragon is an arcade classic, but this version's not as good, it's still pretty fun, but not as great as the NES version of Double Dragon 2. 8/10

Double Dragon 2 is a fantastic port of the original that's just as good, and it is one of the best beat 'em ups on the NES. 9.5/10

Renegade was one of the first beat 'em up's ever made so I can excuse it being not as great as Double Dragon or other popular beat 'em up's, but it still shouldn't be played today. 5/10

River City Ransom is the best beat 'em up on the NES, one of the best beat 'em up's ever made, and it might be the best game Technos ever made. 10/10 (I'm very excited to play this game on the VS when that comes out)

Super Double Dragon is my favorite Double Dragon game and what makes it special is you can grab your enemy when they attack you and then hit them. 10/10

Super Spike V'Ball is a pretty fun volleyball game with some good music. 8/10

Super Dodgeball is a pretty fun dodgeball game, and my only real problem is the sprite flickering, but that's just what happens when a game has more than 8 moving sprites at once. 8/10

The Technos Collection 1 is a pretty great collection, but hopefully you like beat 'em ups and sports games because that's all that's in this collection. There isn't a ton of variety in this collection, but every game in it is at least decent and games like River City Ransom, Double Dragon 2, and Super Double Dragon make it worth owning. Overall, the Technos Collection 1 is a 9/10. (Side note: at 0:54 in the Evercade VS trailer, the arcade version of Double Dragon is shown so maybe we'll get a Technos arcade collection at some point this year.)

Namco Museum Collection 2 Evercade Review

Namco Museum Collection 2 Evercade Review     Burning Force is a fantastic shmup that is beautiful, has great music, and the gameplay is great. This is a absolutely fantastic start to a great collection. 10/10     Dig Dug 2 is even better than the first and gets rid of my only complaint about the first game, there is now music when you aren't walking. 10/10     Dragon Spirit is another very fun shmup that, while not as good as Burning Force, is still an absolute blast to play. 9/10     Galaga is the sequel to Galaxian and this game is better in almost every single way. It's an arcade classic for a good reason, it's very fun, and it's hard to want to stop playing. 9/10     Pac-Attack is a pretty fun puzzle game that plays like Tetris, but with ghosts and Pac-Man. How it works is you need to make lines like in Tetris, but you can't do that with ghosts mixed in with blocks so you need to use Pac-Man's (Pac-Men?) to eat the ghost do th...

Xeno Crisis and Tanglewood Evercade Review

Xeno Crisis & Tanglewood Evercade Review          Tanglewood is a very good 2D puzzle platformer where you play as a cute little creature and you have to try to not be eaten by bigger, and stronger creatures. It's very fun, is gorgeous, and the music is just amazing. Tanglewood is seriously a great game and one of the best on the Evercade. Tanglewood is one of the best platformers on the Evercade and if you're a fan of the genre, you need to play it. 9.5/10     Xeno Crisis might be the best game on the Evercade. It's fast, arcade-y, crazy, fun with stunning visuals for a Genesis game, maybe the best music on the Evercade, it's challenging, but still fair, there are cheats if you're into that, and it is infinitely replayable. Tanglewood is a fantastic game, but Xeno Crisis blows it out of the water. Each and every level is fun and no matter how many times I replay them, they are still a blast to play. The boss fights too, are just amazing, hug...

Data East Collection 1 Evercade Review

Data East Collection 1 Evercade Review     Bad Dudes just isn't fun, it's boring and ugly and you shouldn't play it. 4/10     Burnin' Rubber is pretty fun and it looks pretty nice for an NES game, also you can destroy cars with you car by jumping on them. 8.5/10     Burger Time is very fun, has a good difficulty level, and is a great version of the classic arcade game. 9/10     Two Crude Dudes is a very fun beat 'em up where you can pick up and throw almost everything in the game. 9/10     Fighters History is (as of writing) the best fighting game that's on the Evercade, it is very fun and I recommend it to all fans of the genre. 9/10     Joe & Mac 2 is yet another fantastic game on this fantastic cartridge that I have to recommend, plus it's one of the best platformers on the Evercade. 9/10     Karate Champ is just terrible, it is a boring fighting game with terrible controls. 3/10     Magical Dr...
