Namco Museum Collection 2 Evercade Review
Burning Force is a fantastic shmup that is beautiful, has great music, and the gameplay is great. This is a absolutely fantastic start to a great collection. 10/10
Dig Dug 2 is even better than the first and gets rid of my only complaint about the first game, there is now music when you aren't walking. 10/10
Dragon Spirit is another very fun shmup that, while not as good as Burning Force, is still an absolute blast to play. 9/10
Galaga is the sequel to Galaxian and this game is better in almost every single way. It's an arcade classic for a good reason, it's very fun, and it's hard to want to stop playing. 9/10
Pac-Attack is a pretty fun puzzle game that plays like Tetris, but with ghosts and Pac-Man. How it works is you need to make lines like in Tetris, but you can't do that with ghosts mixed in with blocks so you need to use Pac-Man's (Pac-Men?) to eat the ghost do that lines can be formed. It's very fun and a bit challenging. 8.5/10
Phelios is another great shmup on this collection and is just as fun and replayable as the others. 9/10
Splatterhouse Part 2 is a pretty fun horror themed beat 'em up where you kill monsters to save your girlfriend. 8.5/10 (Side note: I really hope that if there's a Namco Collection 3 there'll be the TurboGrafx-16 port of the first game or the Arcade original)
Splatterhouse 3 is closer to playing like the average beat 'em up rather than how in Splatterhouse 2 you could only move left and right and I think that change is for the better. Splatterhouse 3 is also a bit faster with your attacks and due to the two big changes, it's a better game. 9/10
The Tower of Druaga is a pretty fun arcade-y little game where you are a knight and you have to get to the top of a tower to save the princess. Each floor is a maze and there are enemies that can kill you. How to get off a floor is easy, find the key and use that key to open the door to the next floor. Despite how simple that sounds, it's a very challenging game that's worth your time. 8.5/10
Warp Man is decent, it's not great, but it's still a good game that's worth trying out. 7/10
Weapon Lord is a decent fighting game. It's not crazy good or anything, but fans of the genre might like it, though I think it's better to just play Clay Fighter or Fighter's History. 7/10
The Namco Museum Collection 2 might just be my favorite cart on the Evercade (this or Xenocrisis), there's a good bit of variety with the games and all of the games are great. Overall, the Namco Museum Collection 2 is a 9.5/10.
